Minnesota Quilt Show

The Minnesota quilt show began in St. Paul in 1979.† It moves yearly to 4 different locations around the state.† This annual show is now one of the premier quilting events in the USA and it is the largest all-volunteer quilt show.† We have attended the show in all four venues, each offering their own special features. The Minnesota show always has wonderful quilts, great vendors and a host of places to visit.† This year Duluth is the host city, located on the worldís largest freshwater lake!† This location is always a hit with so many things to enjoy and entertain us!† What† a fun summer get-away!

Day one: Wed, June 12.† We start our adventure in Des Moines with pickups as requested along I35 - maybe† Ankeny, Ames, Boondocks, Clear Lake exit, Albert Lea and as requested in route.† Our lunch and shop stop is a new to us location and quilt store; the Quilt Cove in Eagan.† Itís always fun to find† and explore new stores and† places - thatís what travel is all about!†† Later this afternoon, we find our way to Duluth.† A step-on-guide will join us to share the stories of this fun loving† area.††† We end the tour at Canal Park, full of shops and eateries with a Minnesota theme.† Duluth is our hotel location for the next two nights.
