The Minnesota quilt show began in St. Paul in 1979. It moves yearly to four different destinations around the state. This annual show is now one of the premier quilting events in the USA and it is the largest all-volunteer quilt show in the USA. We have attended the show in all four venues, each offering their own special features. When this show is in St. Paul, we are able to visit some one-of-a kind fabric stores and outlets.
Join us on this two day get-away for great shopping, a fun theatre event and a time proven quilt show!

June 16, Thursday, Day 1: A day of favorites….The day begins in Des Moines with expected pickups in route. The coffee in on and scones too as we stop at the Hayward quilt store. They really know how to treat us! We’ll pickup a box lunch here too and enjoy as we travel to the next stop –Mill End Textiles. This store is full of surprises. They have a wide variety of cottons and then add some flannels, decorator fabric and notions. Always a fun stop. Not done yet, we travel just a little farther north to another favorite SR Harris. The fabric isn’t displayed in the usual manner, but it is piled to the sky! I’m sure there will be no shortage of fabric at any of our stops! Lots of shopping and lots of bargains and now it’s time for a little entertainment. It is a one stop event as we check into our hotel, then walk to the banquet room to enjoy a group meal. The theatre is just down the stairs and the performance tonight will be rockin and rollin to the music and story of the Marvelous Wonderettes.
Day 2: Our bus will pick up at the door and deliver you to the front door of the convention center. Today you experience the MN Quilt Show. This is a judged, guild-show, professionally presented. The vendors are by invitation only—and they know all the good ones! We depart late afternoon to begin our ride home. We’ve planned another group meal on our return –we won’t let you go home hungry! Final itinerary sent 21 days prior to tour. Escorted Tour includes: Motor coach, 1-night lodging, 4 meals - includes 1 continental breakfast, 2 group lunches & 1 dinner, theatre tickets, escorts, and all tips and gratuities. .
